Starting the 20th of June with the celebration of the World Refugee Day, and finishing on the 26th, for seven days Wales celebrated Refugee’s Week 2022. A series of online and in-person events took place throughout the country intending to raise awareness of the situation that many people nowadays find themselves trapped in. Given recent developments in international and national politics such as the passing of the Nationality and Borders Bill, the war in Ukraine or the UK government breaching international law and sending refugees to Rwanda… This year’s Refugee Week focused on giving voice to the ones that are most in need in an attempt to trigger action and stop the unfair and inhuman treatment of refugees and asylum seekers.
